New Moon Eclipse in Gemini May 2012
The New Moon this month takes place in Gemini on May 20 - 21. This is no usual New Moon this month, it's a New Moon Eclipse also known as a Solar Eclipse. A Solar Eclipse takes place when the Sun, the Earth and the Moon line up. It's a 'super-charged' New Moon and there often feels like there is an element of fate attached to events surrounding it.
This month it's all about Air sign Gemini. Gemini is
ruled by Mercury, the Planet of thinking and communication. Which is why
the chatty one in the room is usually a Gemini!
New Moons are a great time to initiate or launch something but with this New Moon, it's like a total fresh start in the area of your life it affects! Obviously, if you so choose to accept the mission. Times like this are like gateways which you can choose to step through, and sometimes someone else just pushes you through and says ready or not it's time! Full Moon in Libra April 2012
The Full Moon has come around again. This month the full Moon is on the 7th
of April in the sign of Libra at 18ᵒ (Check out Moon times at the bottom of
this page).
Let's first talk a little bit about what a Full Moon is, and
how you can best use it to your advantage. In my experience the more we work with the
rhythm of the universe, the easier and more productive our lives become.
At
a Full Moon we find ourselves roughly 2 weeks after the New Moon, this
marks the half way mark of the Moon's phases. I wont go into what all
the Moon phases mean right now, as that's a whole-other post! Here are
the Moon's phases to give you an overall picture of where we are at.

So
now that you know what stage we are at here's how you
can use the Full Moon to your advantage. The energy of the Full Moon lasts for 4 days and brings with it,
culmination, climaxes, resolutions, emotions, fullness, and completion.
Use this Libra Full Moon to:
- Profit from earlier actions and /or
- Deal with the consequences of earlier actions
- To let go of things that aren't working before the next New Moon
- To let go of any past relationship difficulties or hurts
- See where you are at re your New Moon wishes
- Find some balance between your needs and others needs or one area of your life with another area
- 'Bring to light ' something about a situation you may not of been aware of earlier
- Bring about insights and new ideas
- Reflect on your life
- Cleanse your crystals by the light of the Full Moon
- Do a Full Moon meditation
The
Moon takes approximately 28 days to orbit the Earth and the sign that
the Full Moon is in each month will colour how that Full Moon affects us
all in subtle but important ways. The Full Moon is in Libra this month
and Libra is all about relationships and balance. Libra represents compromise, fairness and is a relationship focused sign.
With the Sun being in Aries there could be an element of trying to find the balance between your own personal needs (Aries) and the partnership or others needs (Libra). Only you will know which way this needs to swing. Are you letting others take advantage of you? Or is it you that needs to give a little? Is one area of your life competing too much with another?
