Pluto stays in each sign for a long time and has been in Capricorn since November 2008 and will be there until 2024 so by now you would definitely be aware of how it's energy has been affecting you. If you're not sure hang in there as I'll be discussing where and how Pluto has been transforming you.

Transforming is a good word to start describing Pluto as this is a huge part of what Pluto does. Pluto transforms you slowly, deeply and forever! Pluto rules Scorpio and is indicative of permanent change, rules the underworld, and is all about regeneration and rejuvenation, death and rebirth. This is where Scorpios draw their amazing ability to rise from the ashes like a Phoenix after challenging times, and be transformed deeply by the experience. I don't know any Scorpio that does anything by half measures, intensity is their key characteristic!

Retrogrades are a great time to review the area of your chart and therefore the area of your life it touches. This is about going over old ground and really 'getting' some of the lessons you may not of fully grasped yet. The most intense time of the retrograde is when Pluto is stationary (when it first goes retrograde and when it goes forward again).
Let's look at
some ways you can use this retrograde to your advantage! Don't buy into all the negativity that is attached to a Retrograde. Imagine what life would be like if you were just pushed through it without ever really getting the chance to stop and pause and review certain areas before moving on again. My advice is go with changes during this time otherwise you could make it a lot harder than it ever need be on yourself.
How you can best prepare for and utilize the Pluto retro energy and how it might manifest itself:
- Internally spring clean the area of your chart affected, externally too if appropriate
- Look at where you might be giving your power away
- Gain more insights and understanding in the house affected
- Delve into activities of regeneration
- Review your progress to date
- Research and investigate
- Let go of what no longer serves you and make room for anew (death and rebirth)
- Transform old habits
- A destruction and rebuilding period
- Face your fears head on and deal with them
- All "R" Activities: Re-organise, Re-connect, Re -discover, Re-think, Re-vamp, Re-do, Repeat, Re-enforce!
Retrogrades are actually an optical illusion. No planet goes backwards, instead a 'Retrograde
motion' is when it appears from Earth as though a planet is moving in a
backward motion. It has to do with the distance the
planet is from the Earth and other planets at the time and how that is
perceived...but hey I'm no 'rocket scientist' so let's move on! But
before I do, please be assured it's not all in your head, the impact you
feel is very real!

Cancer - 7th House: Love and partnerships. Keywords: Partnerships (one on one
business or personal), marriages or divorces, long-term associations,
agreements/legal contracts, open enemies.

You may find yourself reassessing some partnerships during this period in order to release or renew. Pisces - 11th House: Relationships with friends and Groups. Keywords: Alliances, hopes, dreams and wishes, employer's money, employer's finances, spheres of influence, memberships, social acquaintances, collaborations.
- Pisces, Pluto is focusing your attention on all things 11th House. It could be a time of review in regards to your friends and the groups you belong to. Some friendships and groups will strengthen and others might die away under Pluto's transforming review. You could also be revisiting some dreams and wishes you have let fall to wayside. Under Pluto's retrograde energy one way or another things will have to be dealt with.
Aries -10th House: Career. Keywords: Long range goals and life direction, ambition, material success, business life, career, occupation, status, public life and your standing in it, fame, contribution.
- Aries, Pluto's Retrograde is asking that you shift your attention to all things 10th House for a time of review. Progress may be more internal during this time whilst you renew and rejuvenate this area. What in your career or life direction needs review and transformation? If you don't know Pluto will soon point you in the right direction and help you release what no longer serves you to make way for anew. Go with the process and ignore any fears that arise to try and keep you in place.
Taurus - 9th House: Travel, Higher Learning and Adventure. Keywords: Beliefs, morals, personal truths, adventure, journeys (literal and of the mind), exploration, religion, personal philosophy, higher education, long-distance travel, foreign countries,cultures and languages, publishing, commerce.
- Taurus, Pluto is using its power of transformation in the area of all things 9th House.Your particular area of review could manifest in different ways. You could be revisiting some of the beliefs or personal truths that no longer serve you as a way to release them. This could happen through your own need to look internally or could be a result of external events. Another area this retrograde could draw your attention is in regards to travel or taking that class you always wanted to take. Wherever this retrograde touches you, Pluto will soon let you know where it needs you to transform things for the better.
Gemini - 8th house: Shared Money Sector. Keywords: Support you receive from other people, wealth of partner or spouse, other people's money, spirituality, sex, transformation, Inheritance, taxes.
- Gemini, your focus for review and transformation will be all things 8th House. You may be reflecting internally, or situations may arise, to do with shared money or the support you receive from others. Any of the themes from the 8th House that do present themselves during this time are there for you to work through so you can release that which no longer serves you. Pluto is all about death and rebirth so something may fall away so that something new can be born.

wow you hit right on the nail and yes i have been feeling the energy of pluto. pluto is in my 2 house and i am dealing with doth issues money and self worth wow! at work at home every where! i am still faily new but i am studing on my spare time i work night shift and i have to say this morning i saw the effects of pluto not only with myself but with others as well. your blog has helped me out alot thank you for taking the time and sharing what you have learned.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your insights, in particular how to stay positive about Pluto retrograding. I am grateful for Mercury moving forward and Mars soon to be. As a long time deep and meaningful Scorpio, I have been enjoying some nice upbeat casual lovely maybe even shallow experiences for awhile now:) I've also read for moon and rising signs, gemini and cancer, very thoughtful information that resonates with me at this time. I will gladly take this time to once again clean out the inevitable clutter and ascend the Phoenix. I'm also excited to focus on writing more the next 5 months.
