Saturn in Libra Retrograde 2012 - What it means for you

 Another retrograde I hear you scream! Please don't be concerned, I am here to assure you retrogrades are a good thing and have as much good to offer, maybe even more, than when a planet is going full speed ahead.  

Saturn takes roughly 29 years to come full circle spending an average of 21/2 years in each sign. Saturn has been in Libra since October 2009 and will now go retrograde in Libra from February 6th 2012 to June 24th 2012. Saturn will then go forward one last time in Libra before moving into Scorpio on the 5th October 2012 until September 2015.

By now you know I love to play the dating game with Planets, in which case if I was to introduce you to Saturn I would describe him as serious, practical, a slow but steady catch. Appealing for those who like a 'grown up' planet no doubt! 

Saturn helps you to get serious about your life, to work hard towards the achievement of what you want, face facts and create good boundaries for yourself. You can see that things wouldn't work well without him and he is a worthy guy to have on your side. After all, can you imagine what it would be like if it was all dreamy and boundless or shocking and innovative? All good things, but without Saturn to give you a reality check, how can you really see where you are going and how to get there? 

So now that I know you have fallen for Saturn's tough love let's look at some ways you can use this retrograde to your advantage!

How you can best utilize the Saturn retro energy or how it might manifest itself.

• You might look at how you're managing your boundaries, how disciplined you're being and other Saturn qualities 
• There could be some relationship revisions as Saturn is in Libra 
• Look at where there might be some work still to do
• Gain more insights and understanding in the house affected
• Where do you still need to be more authentic?
• Renegotiate
• Review your progress to date
• Reorganise 
• Tie up loose ends
• Re-connect, Re -discover
• Re-view, Re-think, Re-vamp
• Re-do, Repeat, Re-enforce

Basically put a 're' at the start of any word  and you're on the right track. So as you can see not so scary, right? Does it help if I tell you it's really an optical illusion? No planet actually goes backwards instead a 'Retrograde motion' is when it appears from Earth as though a planet is moving in a backward motion. Actually it really has to do with the distance the planet is from the Earth and other planets at the time and how that is perceived...but hey I'm no 'rocket scientist' so let's move on! But before I do, please be assured it's not all in your head, the impact you feel is very real!

Here's the area of your chart Saturn in Libra is currently transiting. Can you see how you may be experiencing some hard lessons in these areas or possibly some restrictions? All for the better of course. You'd be well aware by now as Saturn has been here since October 2009.
